1. What is ScanGuard?
ScanGuard is a privacy-first vehicle communication platform. We provide smart QR-based tags for cars and bikes that allow people to contact you (via masked calls/messages) during emergencies or parking inconveniences without ever seeing your personal phone number.
2. Is my personal phone number visible to someone who scans my tag?
No. ScanGuard uses a Masked Calling & Messaging framework. The person scanning the tag can initiate a contact request, but your actual mobile number remains hidden and secure.
3. Is ScanGuard a social media or chat app?
No. ScanGuard is a controlled infrastructure layer. It is strictly for purpose-driven interactions like resolving blocked driveways, reporting minor accidents, or accessing emergency contacts.

4. How do I access my vehicle documents?
By scanning your own QRGuard tag and authenticating via your registered mobile number, OTP, and password, you can instantly pull your RC, Insurance, and other documents via our DigiLocker integration.
5. How does the "Challan Settlement" work?
ScanGuard allows you to check pending traffic challans in real-time. For eligible fines, you can settle them online through authorized channels directly within our platform, with potential discounts of up to 60%, where applicable.
6. Can anyone see my traffic challans or documents by scanning my tag?
Absolutely not. There is a strong separation between Public Access and Owner Access. Public users can only access the "Contact Owner" or "Emergency SOS" features. Document access and challan management require owner authentication.
Troubleshooting & Support
7. What should I do if my QR sticker is damaged?
If your tag is scratched or unreadable, please contact our support team at support@ScanGuard.com to order a replacement.
8. How do I update my Emergency (SOS) contact?
Log in to your ScanGuard dashboard, go to "Profile Settings," and update your family member's contact details. This ensures the right person is notified in case of an accident.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a ScanGuard QR Tag or using our digital services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. ScanGuard provides a "secure standard for vehicle communication" and users must adhere to lawful use of this infrastructure.

2. Nature of Service
  • Communication: ScanGuard is a tool for emergency and inconvenience-related communication. Users agree not to use the platform for harassment or spam.
  • Ownership: The QR tag is a digital access layer; the owner is responsible for keeping login credentials (OTP/Password) secure.
3. Compliance and Lawful Use
  • Challan Settlements: Discounts (up to 60%) are subject to government policies and eligibility; ScanGuard does not guarantee discounts for all violations.
  • Document Access: Users must provide valid authorization for DigiLocker. ScanGuard is not responsible for the validity of source documents.
4. Third-Party Interactions

While we facilitate secure communication, ScanGuard is not liable for the content of the messages or calls exchanged between third parties and vehicle owners.

5. Limitation of Liability

ScanGuard is not liable for mechanical damage during sticker application, the actions of third parties who scan the code, or government server downtime.
